My garden is no longer green

Today, I pulled the beets. It was the last of the garden produce to bring into the house, but the garden is not quite officially "closed" for the winter. This week, I'll plant a short row of lettuce seeds, which will be the first to come up in the spring. My goal this year was to eat something every day that I picked with my own hands. Tonight, it was a spinach salad made with the last late planting of spinach (see photo of spinach below). And those blueberries with yogurt for breakfast. And those frozen tomatoes with pasta we had for lunch. I hate to say goodbye to the garden for another year, but I think we'll make it to spring!
